The book I have just got done reading is “Fade”. This book is the second series of “Wake”. I really liked this book as well as the first one. It is still intense and interesting; you just want to know what is going to happen next.
In this book Janie and Cabel are now boyfriend and girlfriend but they cannot be seen with each other. He is always there for Janie and takes care of her. He knows when she is getting sucked into a dream and will provide her with snacks so she doesn’t get sick after.
In this stage Janie is learning how to control the dreams she can pull out of almost every dream. She is learning how to help people change their nightmares, and pause, fast forward and rewind the dreams. She will even practice on Cabel.
Janie is helping her Captain bust a teacher who seems to be raping students. Janie will flirt with him and he flirts back. He tells her he is having a party for his chemistry class and she volunteered to help. Everything her teacher is telling her is adding up to the reports from before. The night of the party some of the other male teachers attend and have drinks with the kids. Janie is not drinking because she is working on busting this guy.
They would give her a cup with some punch but she had a kit that could tell you what is in the drink and there was rooffies. She eats some food but she doesn’t know is they put drugs in the food as well. One of the teachers Mr. Wang was raping her friend Stacey. Mr. Durbin wanted to have sex with Janie as well. Janie had forgotten that her captain had given her a lighter that was actually a panic alert just in case anything happens. She opened the lighter and back up came but Janie had fallen to the floor because she was drugged.
This can relate to life because there are teachers out there who are sick like that. You never know who has a secret background or who will rape you. That’s why if you have any suspicion that something like this is going to happen you should always tell someone. This has never happened to me but if it did I would tell someone right away because I don’t want anything like this to happen to anyone else. I recommend these two books to everyone I know you will like it.
