Assignment #10 Bullying

I personally haven’t been bullied, but when I see someone being bullied in movies or something it still has an effect on me because I think it is so wrong. Bullying can lead to many things not only hurt on that person but on their family. It can lead to depression, death, suicide and for them to run away. I also haven’t seen someone get bullied if I did then I would try to help them because I don’t like when other people get hurt.

It can lead to these things because that person can’t handle it anymore and it’s hard. We had watched a documentary from the Southern Poverty Law Center entitled Bullied. It was sad what that young boy had to go through from middle school through high school. No one should go through what he went through. It shouldn’t matter what anyone thinks. He got bullied because he was gay. No one did anything about it at his school and that led to a lot more. Those kids thought they could keep doing it because they didn’t get punished for it.

If someone doesn’t get in trouble for these actions they are going to keep doing it because they think it is ok, when in reality it’s not. People don’t think how they are hurting someone they somehow get joy out of it, I know they wouldn’t be happy or like it if someone was bullying them. They don’t only bully anyone they will bully anyone who they think is to smart, those who won’t fight back helpless, and maybe those who are by themselves.

It is not only girls who bully it’s also girls. They can be truly cruel to one another they make rumors, make fun of each other, they really can hurt one another. Any bullying can hurt someone physically and emotionally. People think it’s cool to see someone get beat up but in reality that person might have not done anything wrong and you should try and help that person because you could have saved them. They could die or get put into the hospital from someone beating them.

You should always help people instead of hurting them because most likely the person who is being the bully is having personal problems and probably thinks that kid or person has a better life so ill hurt him/her which is wrong.

Assignment #9: Alien Contact

One starry night, near the beach, a young girl saw flashing lights while she was sitting down, next to her was her dog. They were listening to the waves. She had noticed these flashing lights were getting closer, she watched with wonder, not knowing what they could be. Suddenly the lights were right over her, it was a huge object she was not familiar with. While sitting there she heard a loud splash in the water.

The noise scared the dog and he took off running. While the girl went chasing her dog she saw a weird shadow, not making out who or what it could be. When she got closer she had realized it was not a human, but she wasn’t quite sure what it was. Since she had never seen this kind of creature before she suspected it was an alien.

The little girl had gotten so scared because she had never seen anything like this alien. He was weird looking and she could not understand what the alien was saying. She had left the beach because her dog came back and scared him away. The little girl ran home and told her mother what she had seen, but her mother just thought she was making everything u that there are no such things as aliens.

The next day thee little girl and her mother were watching the news and they had mentioned that they have found an unidentified flying object that had possibly crashed in the ocean. They did not find anyone in the ship so she didn’t know where the alien had gone. Right then and there her mother started to believe the story her daughter had told her.

They just kind of just forgot about the alien. Then again one night the little girl had gone to the beach listening to the waves and wondering if she would ever see the alien again. Some time had passed and she felt someone touch her, she looked and it was the alien. He had come out from wherever he was hiding. This time the girl was not scared she was trying to understand what he was saying but couldn’t. She went and had done some research on aliens and found some interesting fact. She found out that they are very friendly but can be mean at the same time just as humans are the same way.

She started to become very close to the alien and she was helping him live. She had finally told her mother about it and her mother did not react as she thought her mom would. Her mother told her that they had to show him to the police. Right as her mother said the word “Police” he took off screaming. They did not know where he had gone once again. The young girl did not see him after that. She would spend as much time as she could at the beach hoping he would return.

About 3 weeks had gone by since her friend the alien had disappeared and she was walking by the shore she heard a weird noise. She had looked up at the sky and she saw the flashing lights just like the ones that were on the alien’s ship/ flying object. She knew then he was going back to where he belongs. She will always remember him because that was her only alien friend.

Assignment 7: My Self-Value

There is a lot of jealousy in this world. To me if you are a jealous person then you’re not happy with your-self you want to make other people feel the way you do. You are showing people what you think you are worth and what you think about yourself. If you think highly about yourself then you’re very self confidant, which is good because you believe in yourself and you will encourage people to do the same.

If you are confident, you are most highly to succeed better in life because even if you fail at something you will try again. You will keep trying because you know that you can do anything. When you are like this then you have a good self-value, you are a good person inside and out. If someone brings you down it won’t get to you because you know that you are better than that. If you do not believe in your-self that you can do something then other people might think oh you can’t and they will doubt you.

If someone is mean to you and maybe even jealous of you, you’re going to think you are doing something wrong and that’s why they don’t like you. It’s always good to think highly of your-self and not worrying what anyone thinks. Those people are not going to help you get into college so you just have to worry about your-self and don’t let anyone bring you down. Be the bigger person and know you are better than that.
